Artificial Intelligence Research
I have been using artificial intelligence ever since early 2000, focusing on multiple areas of application where different network architectures as well as machine learning methods have been used for the creation of (physics-informed) models. This page summarizes some of the relevant projects and provides links to the publications resulting from our research.
Deep learning for size-agnostic inverse design of random-network 3D printed mechanical metamaterials
Deep learning for the rare-event rational design of 3D printed multi-material mechanical metamaterials

AI-based estimation of musculoskeletal loads from bone density

Machine learning for coarse grained prediction of the mechanics of multi-material 3D printed structures

AI-based estimation of cartilage multi-physics properties

AI-based analysis of out-of-plane rotation in 2D radiographs

AI-based prediction of the fracture event in metals
